I have over 15 years of experience as a software engineer, working predominantly within the startup space in Tech Lead and CTO roles.
I'm an autodidact — no formal tertiary education, but a wealth of real-world experience. I'm passionate about knowledge, motivated by learning new technologies, and most attracted to solving real customer problems with a business justification.
Over the years, I've led small engineering teams, mentored junior developers, founded companies, and brought many products to market. From concept through to autonomous product delivery, I enjoy creating frictionless processes to improve efficiency and output.
For the last 10 years I've worked remotely for companies across New Zealand and Australia. I believe communication is the most important attribute for productive outcomes in a remote environment.
In my free time, I like to tinker with new technologies and build side projects.
